George Lucchesi

George Lucchesi - Director

Director Lucchesi is a retired Fire Captain and was elected to the Board of Directors in 2016. George has over 36 years of fire department service. He has enjoyed living in Aptos for over 38 years.

John Scanlon

John Scanlon - President

(Term of Office: 2018-2022 )

Director Scanlon was elected to the Board of Directors in 2018. He is a retired Battalion Chief, with 30 years experience in the fire service. As a Chief Officer, he was also a member of the County Training Officers Association, and the County Overhead Support Team. Prior to that, he was a Captain/Paramedic. Director Scanlon has lived in Aptos for over 12 years, and enjoys volunteering for the Ride-a-Wave program, which provides children with special needs a fun day at the beach.

Orbrad Darbro

Orbrad Darbo - Vice President

(Term of Office: 2018-2022 )

Director Darbro was elected to the to the Board of Directors in 2018. Director Darbro is a former Battalion Chief for Santa Clara County Fire Department. He comes to the Board with 36 years of fire service experience and 14 years representing Northern CA fire districts on the FIRESCOPE Task Force. Director Darbro has lived and been involved in the La Selva Beach community for 25 years.

Michael Hushaw

Michael Hushaw - Director

(Term of Office: 2020-2023)

Director Hushaw was elected to the Board of Directors in 2020. He has 25+ years of Telecommunication (Fiber/Wireless/Structured), Business Operations and Procedural Auditing experience. Mr. Hushaw and his family have resided in Aptos for decades.

Marsha Larkin Marani - Director

(Term of Office: 2020-2023)

Director Larkin Marani was elected to the Board of Directors in 2020. She has worked in high tech most of her life, in international logistics and capital equipment procurement, finance planning and management, and staff training. She also has past non-profit experience with Ombudsman Advocacy for seniors in long term care, Watsonville Adopt a Family and YWCA Earthquake Reconstruction, targeting women with dependent children to obtain transitional housing, and re-training to eliminate financial insecurity. Director Larkin Marani has a BA in Business, AA in Finance and APICS and Customs Broker Certification. She has been a lifelong resident of Santa Cruz County, with 34 years in Corralitos and 26 in Aptos.
